WHO WE ARE

Midwest Roots is an Omaha-based nonprofit. We serve high school young men competing on the UAA national circuit — one of the most visible and well-attended grassroots basketball platforms in the country, where college coaches and scouts evaluate talent at every tournament. We are one of only 33 programs in the country fully contracted through Under Armour, and the only one in Nebraska. Our athletes are held to a 2.5 core GPA minimum, ensuring NCAA eligibility across all levels. Our life skills curriculum covers financial literacy, media professionalism, academic accountability, emotional resilience, ethics in sport, and community service.

Our leadership brings over 40 years of combined experience developing student-athletes. The program is led by people who have dedicated their careers to ensuring young men from this region have every opportunity to succeed.

THE SEASON 

The 2026 spring and summer UAA season is already underway. Our schedule takes us to  Kansas City in April, May and again in late July, Hamilton, Ohio in May, Atlanta and Louisville  in July. Six tournaments. Six opportunities for a young man from the Midwest to stand in  front of a college coach and change the course of his life. 

The cost to support one player through the full season — including all travel, lodging, meals,  and coaching — is approximately $4,500. For a program of 27 athletes, the full season investment is significant. Your partnership helps make it possible.
